Age Trends: Intoxication

The graph depicts trends in alcohol intoxication by age. The vertical axis-zero to 70 percent-depicts rates of alcohol intoxication amongst 8th, 10th, and 12th graders. The horizontal line represents years of alcohol use from 1991 to 1997. Age is positively correlated with rates of intoxication. The highest rate of lifetime intoxication was reported by 12th graders, followed by 10th graders and 8th graders, respectively.
