Age Trends: Alcohol Use

The graph depicts trends in alcohol use by age. The vertical axis-zero to 90 percent-depicts rates of alcohol use amongst 8th, 10th, and 12th graders. The horizontal line represents years of alcohol use from 1993 to 1997. Age is positively correlated with rates of use. A large majority of 12th graders (80%), more than two-thirds of 10th graders, and more than half of 8th graders reported that they have used alcohol sometime in their lives
