New NIH Web Site Sparks Interest in Clinical Trials

The National Institutes of Health recently launched a new Web site, “NIH Clinical Research Trials and You,” to educate and enroll people interested in participating in trials that test new therapies and treatments. The site provides a one-stop resource for clinical trial information. Features include:

  • Stories from people, both healthy and living with disease, of all ages and backgrounds, recounting why they decided to take part in a trial;
  • Stories from researchers that provide background information on disorders and which give insight into the clinical trial process from a clinician’s perspective;
  • Links to Web sites to find a clinical trial currently underway; and
  • Brochures and information (in both English and Spanish) on clinical trials research for both the general public and scientific investigators.
