Relative Rates of Alcohol Dependence
This bar graph reflects data compiled from a survey on the relative rates of alcohol dependence among certain ethnic groups. The survey found the following prevalence rates: Whites 3.4%; Blacks 3.4%; Native American 5.6%; Mexican/Hispanic 5.6%; Other Hispanic 2.4%; and Asian/Pacific Islander 1.8%. The sample average of 3.5% can be classified as alcohol dependent.
